Services Offered:

Exam Services:

New Patient Exam- $50.00AdobeStock 59201291a

The exam allows the doctor to assess for current conditions. The exam may include a History, a Posture Assessment, Range of Motion Assessment, and Ortho-neuro assessment. Chiropractors are specially trained to use palpation to feel for muscle spasm, tenderness, and tightness in the muscles along the spine. These assessments allow the Doctor to determine the location of the spinal fixations that are in need of adjustment.

Established Patient Re-Exam- up to $40.00

The re-exam allows the doctor to assess the progress of any current conditions. It may include a revisit of the History, a Posture Assessment, Range of Motion Assessments, and Ortho-neuro assessments. The Chiropractor uses palpation to feel along the spine for muscle spasm, tenderness, and tightness. The assessment findings allow the Doctor to determine the progress of the patient's condition(s).

Adjustment Services:

Adjustment of the Spine: $45.00 to $55.00 ($45 most common) (Types of Adjustments: hands-on, hand-held Impulse Adjuster Instrument, Activator Method Instrument, or Vertebral Distraction Pump Instrument)

Adjustments are offered to promote relief from pain and pressure that can occur from daily use and posture positions. The Chiropractor utilizes a variety of methods to adjust the spine, and incorporates several peices of adjusting equipment to assist with correcting spinal fixations, including a Gonstead chair and a knee-chest table.

Disclaimer: Do Not Attempt at Home. Chirorpractors are trained for many years about anatomy and proper technique.

Extraspinal Adjustment -Adjustment of the joints in the extremeties (legs/arms/jaw): $15.00/area (example 1 shoulder is $15.00, second shoulder is an additional $15.00-setup like this for precise medical coding purposes.)

Chiropractors inspect the spine to look for potential issues with subluxation, fixation, and joint irregularity but these irregularities can also be present in the other joints of the body. Chiropractors adjust "extraspinal joints" in the body, including the jaw, shoulder, ribs, wrist, elbows, fingers, hand, hip, ankle, knee, and the feet. The extraspinal adjustments complement the spinal adjustment and recommendations will be made based on the examination.

Methods used for Spinal and Extraspinal (joints of the arms, legs, jaw) Adjustments:

Impulse Adjuster Tool (Adjustment Instrument)

Your Chiropractor and thousands of other doctors around the world now use the hand-held Impulse Adjusting Instrument® in the care of their patients, when indicated. This patented and FDA registered device was specifically created to deliver gentle and precise chiropractic adjustments to the joints of the spine and extremities to relieve pain and restore function. The Impulse Adjusting Instrument® is controlled by micro-computer circuitry housed within the device that produces a controlled force that chiropractors can use to treat different areas of the body.

Activator Method Instrument (Adjustment Instrument)

The Activator Method Instrument is a hand-held instrument that the

Chirorpactor may use to deliver a mild adjustment to the fixated joints of the spine, and is gentle enough to be used on pediatric as well as senior citizen patients.

Vertebral Distraction Pump (Adjustment Instrument)

The Vertebral Distraction Pump is a hand held instrument that the Chiropractor may use to adjust the spine. Often gravity and posture positions can compress our spine, but the VDP-Pro instrument gently applies pressure to relieve this compression. Studies show it may help treat and reduce disc herniations, help with sciatica, and be a viable means of applying myofascial release of musculoskeletal conditions. Muscle Work (Manual Therapy): $20.00- $45.00/area (depending on time needed approximatley 1-8 minutes)

Adhesion Breaking With Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization Instruments- Not your typical massage! This is a procedure using metal tools to essentially rub over the muscle(s) in order to break up existing scar tissue. Scar tissue can be problematic within muscles because it can reduce your ease of movement (range of motion). For adhesion breaking muscle work, the Chiropractor may utilize Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization Instruments (IASTM) which are specifically designed to help correct the adhesions and scar tissue that form due to injury and inflammation which occurs during injuries, surgeries, overuse, and underuse conditions. This type of manual therapy aims to increase tissue elasticity and fibroblastic activity to return the muscles and surrounding tissues to as close to pre-injury status as possible. This is accomplished by initiating a controlled inflammatory process. Commonly, a petechiae rash results in the area that was worked on. This process allows the tissue to begin the healing process, breaking down scar tissue and adhesions in the tissue and redirecting collagen formation in the proper orientation for correct movement of muscles and tissues.

Adhesion Breaking work is a more intense type of manual therapy, and is therefore done in short amouts of times, from a few minutes to not to exceed a total of a 8-15 minute total process. Adhesion breaking work can be done on one or more areas of need.

Adhesion Breaking with Hands-on Muscle Release Technique

AdobeStock 42599324a

"Muscle Release Technique" is a manual therapy (muscle work) that aims to treat soft tissue injury and adhesions. Muscles may build up scar tissue and adhesions which can lead to weak, short, and rigid muscles. Adhesions alter the motion of muscles and joints, and can cause symptoms like pain, numbness, weakness, tingling sensations, and reduced range of motion (ease of movement). The Chiropractor assesses the texture, tightness and mobility of the muscle while using hand pressue aimed at breaking up present scar tissue/adhesions. This is not a typical therapeutic massage, this is a procedure aimed to break up scar tissue. The Chiropractor also guides the patient to actively move or stretch the affected area during the treatment. Depending on the area addressed, this therapy aims to reduce symptoms such as muscle pain, back pain, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, and sciatica, to name a few.

Hypervolt Hand-Held Muscle Massage Tool (Percussion Massage Tool)

This instrument delivers percussion style therapeutic massage to the muscles, helping to relieve muscle soreness and stiffness, and to improve range of motion. It also assists in muscle recovery. It may also be used to warm up the muscles prior to an adjustment. Percussion massage is a more intense type of massage and is therefore done in short burst of time.

Buff Enuff Power Massager Tool (Percussion Massage Tool)

The Buff Enuff Power Massager tool is a percussion massage instrument that is used to send rapid short duration deep pulses to the muscles in order to increase circulation to the muscles, which helps the body to deliver nutrients and oxygen to the muscles and assist in healing. The aim of this therapy is to decrease stiffness and pain, increase range of motion. It may also be used to warm up the muscles prior to an adjustment. Since it is a more vigorous type of muscle therapy tool, it is used for short amounts of time.

Decompression Therapy - Pettibon Y-Axis Traction Strap (with Chin Strap) - $30.00

Our spines are constantly being compressed or "pressed down" by such things as gravity, forward leaning posture, sleep postures that twist the neck and hips, and other daily physical movements. In order to take the pressure of the vertebrae of the spinal column the Chiropractor has a de-compression tool called a Pettibon Y-Axis Traction Strap. This simple non-mechanical device involves the patient lying on their back face up, and the Chiropractor places a strap under the base of the head and secures it in place with a chin strap, and then the Chiropractor pulls quickly on the handle, which may result in hearing and feeling the spine decompress, and may result in a feeling of relief of pressue on the vertebrale segments of the spinal column. It is possible to hear and feel the decompression occur from the neck all the way down to the low back, and may result in relief in those areas. The goal of this therapy is to reduce existing pain/stiffness and increase range of motion (ease of movement).
