Athletic Background

Prior to becoming a Chiropractor, Dr. Caponio, played college football and earned much recognition including Team Captain, Most Valuable Player, Outstanding Athlete Award, and Scholar Athlete. He trained at a fitness center in Pleasanton, CA where he worked on strength, agility, and speed. Soon, he was breaking records in each of those areas. A recruiter for the U.S. Olympic Bobsled team was looking for someone to be a part of the team. Once she heard about him, she flew to California to meet him. Shortly after meeting, he was recruited onto the US Bobsled team where he relocated to New York to live and train at the Lake Placid Olympic Training Center for the next 4 years in preparation for the 2006 Olympics in Torino, Italy.

Becoming a Chiropractor

While training for the Olympics, Dr. Caponio injured his back. Due to the severity of his back injury, he faced the possibility of having to leave the team. Thankfully, one of his teammates, who happened to also be a Chiropractor, offered to examine and adjust him.

After he received a series of adjustments he was back to training in just three days. He was able to stay on the team and he traveled the world as a part of the US Bobsled team, winning many competitions and championships. He was profoundly appreciative of his teammate/Chiropractor.

After his four-year stint with the US Bobsled team, he was inspired to become a Chiropractor so he could spend his life helping people through Chiropractic care. He enrolled at Palmer College of Chiropractic West and finished with his Doctorate.

He now practices in Pleasant Hill, CA. He is inspired everyday by the people who come in hurting, and leave with improved spinal and body function. Serving as a Chiropractor for Pleasant Hill, Martinez, Clayton, Walnut Creek, Concord, and the surrounding areas!
